Almond Meal Pizza Crust

Perfect crust, naturally gluten free vegan Pizza! Topped with homemade nondairy hummus cheese, and roasted Portabello sauteed in Basil and Oo, yellow onions and sweet peppers. Added a super greens-avocado dressing after baked. This is one my best pizzas so far! Prepped last night. Made the crust from scratch using Almond Meal and Rice Flour. Baked it for 35 minutes in the oven. Set it aside overnight and it was ready for this morning.

This morning inspiration hit me like the apple to Newton. Didn’t question or analyze what I was trying to do. Just let my intuition do the cooking. With this post I want to invite you to use your smell and taste senses when you cook. There’s no need to follow recipes, maybe you can have an idea of what you want to create. Trust that lil voice. We all have it inside! Believe me! I’ve sucked at cooking all my life. I self-taught myself to cook a year and a half ago, and now it is what I do for a living ;)

Almond Meal Pizza Crust

  • Servings: 1 Pie
  • Time: Total Time 40 mins
  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp of Ground Flax Seed
– 1/2 C of Water
– 1/2 C of Brown Rice Flour
– 1 C of Almond Meal
– 1/4 C of Coconut Oil
– 1 Tsp of Sea Salt
– Spices of Choice 1 Tsp each

Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a food processor or by hand.
– Line a pizza tray with parchment paper and spread dough. The dough will be sticky, that’s ok.
– Bake for 35 min at 375′ F

Hummus Cheese

  • Servings: For 1 Pie
  • Time: 5 mins
  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
- 1 Can of Garbanzos
– 1/2 C of Nutritional Yeast
– 2 Cloves of Garlic
– 1/2 Tsp of Turmeric
– 1/2 Tsp of Curry Powder
– 2 Tsp of Miri Vinegar
– 1 Tbsp of Yellow Miso
– 2 Tsp of Sea Salt
– 1/4 C of Water

Directions
- Blend all ingredients in food processor.
– Enjoy raw or baked with pizza.

Supergreens Spread

  • Servings: For 1 Pie
  • Time: 5 mins
  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
- 1 Avocado
– 1/2 to 1 Box of Supergreens
– Juice of 1 Lemon
– Pinch of Sea Salt

Directions
- Blend all ingredients together in blender or food processor.
– Enjoy raw and pair it up with Almond Meal Pizza Crust

      • How did you get the idea for ingredient combos? I’m always so timid about mixing things

      • I’ve been using lately this theory of cooking that I learned from the Natural Cookery School. Which suggest to use your taste and smell senses. For example, when making the hummus cheese I will taste it and then smell the next ingredient I wanted to add. If it resonated with me, I’d use it, if not, I will go onto the next. However, I guide myself when cooking by the colors I use. That’s my main tactic when I do food combining. In a way, it’s what guides me ;)

      • That’s a really interesting theory! I am guilty to mostly relying on recipes, but I want to learn to add things based on taste and confidence in past successes. Never thought about adding by color, also an interesting idea. Thanks for sharing secrets of the trade!
