I know you’ve heard of them Açai berries. But is not a berry, is palm fruit that tastes like a berry. Açai is one of the top antioxidants foods in the world. That’s why it’s so famous. It comes from the Amazon and its health benefits are everything you wanna keep close.
Because of its high antioxidants power this round purple looking berry is cancer fighting, anti aging, great for weight loss, and to prevent heart disease and diabetes. It’s good for you. Period. Just like all other veggies and fruits. However this one is superior in nutrition content classified as a Super Foods.
There’s many ways to recreate the Açai Bowl. I suggest to use my directions as a guidance and experiment with what you have available, or what your body needs. This time I needed Kale.
Acai Bowl with Kale
Ingredients | Makes 2
– 2 Packs of Açai (Read ingredients, some brands add sugar and soy isolated to the Açai)
– 1/4 C of Coconut Water
– 1/2 Banana
– 4 Kale Leaves
– 1 C of Berries
– 1 Date
Place all ingredients in the blender. If you need more liquid for your blender to move, pour 1 Tbsp more of coconut water. Try again. You do want more of a yogurt texture.
Pair with homemade granola, shredded coconut, chia seeds and bananas.
