Chocolate chip cookies made out of Hazelnut flour. Reason why I dubbed these cookie bites “Nutella Cookies”. Baking the cookies with this flour and combining them with the cacao powder and chocolate chips is what gives the cookies that delicious decadent flavor with out using actual Nutella. Although, I would love to make some cookies using my homemade nutella spread. Maybe next time 🙂
The cookies are moist, soft on the inside and you can call it a healthy recipe too. We are using high protein flours, zero refined sugar, and healthy fats from the hazelnuts and the coconut oil.

Healthy fats are those Essential Fatty Acids brought to us by avocados, olive oil, coconut oil, seaweed, seeds and nuts. Our bodies can’t produce these substances that are required for the well development of our brain and the overall health of our system. It is important to incorporate them into our lifestyle, especially for pregnant mommas and kids.

I purchased the Hazelnut Flour from Whole Foods, you can also buy it online directly through Bob Red Mill’s website. It is a bit more pricey than other flours since we are using a expensive nut, however the taste is rewarding. You can keep this recipe for special occasions for your kids, your honey and you.

Hazelnut Cookies

  • Servings: 25 Mini Cookies
  • Difficulty: Easy

– 2 Flax Eggs
– 1/2 C of Sucanat or Coconut Sugar
– 1/3 C of Liquid Coconut Oil
Mix in a big bowl all these ingredients together, then add
– 1/3  C of Souhrgum or Garbanzo Flour
– 2 C of Hazelnut Flour
– 3 Tbsp of Cacao Powder
– 1 Tsp of Vanilla
– 1 Tsp of Baking Soda
Continue mixing the ingredients together, then scoop out batter using a tbsp and form round cookie shape.
Place in a lined oven tray or silicone sheet.
Bake at 350′ F for 20 to 25 min
