This is probably the most luscious, tasty and simple milk to make. It’s creamy on its own, and it calls for not sweetener at all. The coconut scent comes out on every taste, and it coats your mouth with a natural silkiness impossible to imitate.
Homemade coconut milk. I’m sold. Instead of buying at the store. I’ve decided to make my own. It takes no longer than 15 minutes, and I have homemade coconut milk for the entire week. Well, I cheat a little and I refill the jar with water every time I take some, so it can last even longer.
Homemade Coconut Milk
– 1 C of Shredded Coconut
– 4 C of Filtered Water
– Add both water and shredded coconut to your blender. –I have to batch the process with my Nutrbullet, the entire 4 Cups of water do not fit on my tallest jar.
– Blend for 30 to 40 seconds. When you stop the blending and the milk it’s foamy, you are probably done.
– With the use of a coffee strainer, filter the milk into your container.
– What’s left is coconut pulp, which I will be posting recipes about what to do with it. However, you can discard it if you want.
